Player & Parent Code of Conduct.

Standards for Parents and Carers

• Support effort, learning and enjoyment rather than placing pressure on results.
• Ensure registration, medical, emergency and collection information remains accurate.
• Bring and collect children on time and notify the coach of delays or absences.
• Raise concerns calmly through the correct academy contact rather than during active coaching.
• Do not coach from the touchline or undermine reasonable instructions given by academy staff.
• Respect the privacy and safeguarding needs of every child, including photography restrictions.
• Do not use threatening, abusive, discriminatory or intimidating behaviour.

Standards for Coaches and Staff

• Place player welfare before performance or commercial considerations.
• Maintain professional boundaries and communicate appropriately.
• Plan safe, age-appropriate and inclusive sessions.
• Challenge bullying, discrimination, abuse and unsafe behaviour.
• Avoid humiliating, threatening or degrading coaching methods.
• Report safeguarding concerns and injuries through the appropriate process.
• Treat players consistently while adapting coaching to individual needs.

Online and Social Media Conduct

• Do not post abusive, discriminatory or threatening content connected with the academy.
• Do not share another player's personal information, medical information or images without permission.
• Players under 18 should not be contacted privately by coaches outside approved safeguarding arrangements.
• Concerns arising online should be reported to a parent, carer, Welfare Officer or appropriate authority.

Raising a Concern or Appeal

Questions about a conduct decision should be raised privately with the academy. Safeguarding concerns must be reported through the Safeguarding & Welfare Policy and should not be delayed by an internal disagreement or appeal.
